School trip to The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction
Welcome to the World of Beatrix Potter Attraction. They recommend you allow 45 minutes to one hour to enjoy your walk-through self-guided tour of the exhibition & garden, and a little longer to include time to browse in the shop and have a delicious treat in the Tea Room!
A Beatrix Potter™ Walk
This walk takes you around the shores of Lake Windermere and over the wooded fells of Claife Heights to the villages of Sawrey and Hawkshead to take in the sights and sounds that inspired the works of Beatrix Potter. Along the way you will be able to walk through the lovely woods of Cockshott Point that she bequeathed to the National Trust and to visit her house, Hill Top in Near Sawrey. You can make the walk as long or as short as you like by making use of either the shuttle bus or the ferry bus to suit your own itinerary.

Extras your School group might enjoy…
Appearances by Peter Rabbit and Beatrix Potter
School groups can book an appearance by their Peter Rabbit character costume or their knowledgeable actress who plays Beatrix Potter.
Miss Potter talks to the children as if she is Beatrix Potter in the year 1920 about her life, career as a writer, farmer and conservationist. Dressed in costume recreated from original photographs by costumiers from the Royal Exchange Theatre, she can tailor her performance to suit your occasion.
Time travel with her in the exhibition or during a private appearance in the Tea Garden and make your time together truly memorable. If you want that special touch that will make your gathering go with a Victorian swing – Miss Potter entertains!
